Hi everyone,
as i wrote in another thread, i use my EZG 50 with a 4x10 cab (not from Dr.Z). By now there are high wattage/effiency speakers installed (2x WGS G10C & 2x WGS G10A). I like the punch and the headroom of this combination.
On my shelf is sitting a lonely Veteran 10, which is the complete opposite to the installed speakers (low efficiency/wattage, early cone breakup). As they are really fair priced i am thinking about getting another 3 and test the EZG with 4 Veteran 10s.
I wouldn´t sell the other speakers, just expand the possibilities of the EZG, as swapping the speakers on a open back 4x10 is a matter of minutes.
What i like to accomplish is to push the EZG further into Super Reverb territory. Does anyone of you tried this before?
Thanks&cheers Tobi

I would love to hear the response to this as well. I have a 4x10 and have been considering WGS speakers for it. One option is 2-G10C and 2-G10C/S the other is 4-Veteran 10's. They are only about 2.5 db spl different, have you considered mixing 2 of the Veteran 10's with what you have?

The problem is that the Veteran 10 i own has 8 Ohm, the other speakers have 16 Ohm. I also really would like to hear the 4xVeteran 10 setup, as the Super Reverb also uses 4 speakers of the same kind. I will order them soon and then test this.

I'm itching to try the (newish?) Emi 1028 Legend option on the Z 4x10 with an EZG.

I would like to swap 2 of the stock Z 10”s in my Dr z 4x10 cab for 2 WGS G10C’s to make my EZG-50 sound more ‘fenderish’. Do you think that would work?
