This one's from the "seven watts" gig I posted about in the Z-Plus section. Our friend taking the video with his camera missed the first couple 12 bars I'm on the left, playing slide on a Strat.

Nice stuff, Mike. great tone.

Sweet Mike nothing like playin slide through a single ended class A amp. Z Truth, Doc. As you'd guess, the sound was a lot meatier live than what got picked up on the cell phone.

Just running the Cel Blue in the studio cab. i was referring to your p.a. we often just run one Mackie powered main and a powered vocal monitor. wondered if that's what you were doing there or if there was another main somewhere out of the video frame.

Perfect for this small venue.

Wow! Very impressed! Very nice playing and tone. You made me want a black strat, a Z Plus... and some guitar lessons!

Fat tones, Mike! Pretty thick for a Strat. Did you hit the amp with anything else or was it tone stack bypassed? Great groove too. Not rushed or pushed as many often do.

Well, I really enjoyed that, Mike! Steady, rolling blues with a gutsy slide. Very nice chops and juicy Z-tone, brother.....Please also tell the vocalist great blues voice and solid rhythm playing....and like Chris said, nice that it wasn't rushed.... Really like your band!

A few things going on: (1) a very slight amount of mid boost at the guitar, which is a Clapton Strat; (2) compression and (3) light overdrive/push from a Strymon Riverside.

Thanks, Lee. Big Ed is a fine singer, and he's a very good guitarist. He and I alternate lead chores. But I know my limitations and only do a couple lead vocals.

I think your Strat nails the tones especially bc I think Slowhand's recording was on an open tuned guitar. You nailed the tone on the head!
