Hey guys! Not too much talk about how a z-28 interacts with klon style pedals. I've been looking hard at the tumnus and silver archer, and wanted to see if any of you guys are using them. Right now I have a Timmy --> OCD for my drive section, and I'm considering adding the tumnus/klon either to the end of my board, or in front of my Timmy and OCD. Any input would be nice.
Guess i'm just worried about the mid-emphasized z-28 being hit with a mid emphasized pedal.

The Z28 really loves it some treble boost pedals. I'd skip the Klons and get a Beano...

I had a Tumnus for a while. It sounds great but it's a little bit heavier on bass compared to other similar pedals. Which speaker are you using with your Z-28? I use a 1x12 cab w/WGS G12C/S and my Z-28 is almost always clean. Bass are HUGE, sometimes I keep the bass control to 0 because it's too much when the amp is boosted.

I agree ^^^. The Tumnus is quite bass heavy for a k style pedal and imo, too bass heavy, especially with a z28. I'd definitely go the silver archer route, or better yet, check out a RYRA Klone. Shane (sdlogan9), a fellow ztalk member, builds them. Quite a few of us here have them on our boards and I have to say it's an awesome Klone!! Check out this thread.

Don't forget the Archer Ikon. I prefer that over the silver one.
