I have an old Harmony H-1260. Moonlight Luthiers in Maryland specializes in rebuilding them.
Has anyone on the forum ever dealt with them? Did they do good work?

I would be very cautious when dealing with Moonlight Luthiers. Communication is absolutely nonexistent. I have bought a guitar from him and drove 2 hours to meet him to buy another. He stood me up and said that he already sold the guitar that I he had agreed to sell me. No apologies. Asked me if I thought I was special for meeting him to pick up guitar rather than have it shipped. So he made me drive 4 hours round trip and just stood me up because he said he sold the guitar on line to someone else after agreeing to sell it to me…. A repeat customer. If he treats repeat customers this way, I can’t imagine how he treats 1st time customers. He says that he is not a phone person…well he doesn’t answer texts, emails, phone calls…. Not a communicator and could care less about customers.

Oh, don’t get Martin (helmi) started on folks who “don’t talk to customers on the phone”… 😁
