I am down to the Cure as my only Z amp right now. Today I gigged it at Church and was pleasantly surprised at the huge fat tone this little amp puts out. As much as I really liked the Z-Lux the Cure gave me everything I needed today it cut through the mix extremely well and that was with the Hammond B3 organ another keyboard player a bass player and a drummer. I had both the volume and Master all the way up. Level maxed. Rolled my guitar volume back for cleans that sounded crisp and crunchy much like the Z-lux. Nice bell like tones in the 4th position as well. Just a great feel and tone for a small amp it puts out some huge tone! It's such a cool amp from the bedroom to the stage it's the perfect grab and go! I can see why the Doc Advertised it like a Z-lux Jr. It has its similarities but it also has its own thing Going on it's got that tweed and Marshall thing going on and I really like the overdrive tones. Excellent amp. Gig worthy little tone monster. I been playing it at home for quite a while and this is like only the second time I gigged it. So I had to post this because as much as I like this at home. I have to admit cranking it up in a live situation was just another reason for me to like it even better. The tone was incredible. No effects either Just the eq bypass. It don't get no better then that.

Randy, I'm amazed you sold your Z-Lux....but I just got my Cure a few days ago, and I must say the more I play it the more I like it. I can definitely see me using it on smaller gigs; it's early days, but I think the Cure will be with me for a long time.

The cure thickens up single coils so well without losing dynamics

The cure thickens up single coils so well without losing dynamics Thats my experience as well. I only play single coils. I prefer a thick but clean tone and the Cure excel's at it.

Tried it today with the Kr musical Gypsy fuzz oh my Lord! What a tone! Big fat juicy fuzz tone! I really like the tone of the Cure the amp is dialed in just perfect I like the way the midrange massages the tone. It cuts through the mix but never sounds ice picky at all and with the fuzz its real buttery.

you had vol, mast and level maxed?!! i bet that was loud! We play loud in my Church. Trust me I was right at about the maximum to be heard. I ride me Guitar volume and use a lot of in between tones. But when its time to go to Church ( thats when the spirit gets high) I turn it up and let it rip. The hammond B3 organ is loud and now we have another keyboard player and a bass player. Thats what is so cool about the Cure that it can hang tough like that. The sound of the Cure cranked up is a thing of beauty the natural harmonic overdrive is lovely. I had the EQ bypass engaged at about half way as well. Im used to Bigger sounding amps so thats another plus for the Cure its not boxy either. It continues to amaze me. For something so small and lightweight it packs a mean punch.

But once I got the Cure I figured things out.
