Finally gave in and picked up another Z Gave it a quick demo when I got it home and I must say I'm impressed. That level control is amazing. Makes this amp sound great even at low volumes. Better than any amp I've tried before. With that eq bypass, love it! A few months ago I went out shopping for a deluxe or a Princeton. So glad I didn't buy one. The Cure outdoes them in every way. The Strymon Flint sounds great with it also j

Congratulations!
Are you running the Flint straight in or in the loop?

Yes. Their Burlington store had one and they shipped it to the store here in town. Only took less than a week.

Oh sorry, I tried the flint in the loop and in front. Works great in the loop if your using the dirt from the amp. Not sure how I'm going to be using it yet but i really liked it when I had the amp overdriven

Another bonus, this thing is lightweight. The very definition of grab n go. But it doesn't sound lightweight. I've had other smaller amps that were easy to carry but they sounded as small as they looked. Not this one!

Thanks. No regrets whatsoever! Ran the cure in stereo with the M12 last night. Great small amp setup. Sounded huge!

After owning an M12 since they were released, I've been used to not having to mess with controls to get a usable tone. The M12 is very easy to dial in. Fired up the cure this evening and I have to say that it's very easy to dial in some pleasing tones. I have a guitar that you can split from humbucker to single coils. Between that and the mid control on the amp. Absolutely loved the sounds. The mid control is very versatile.

Love the slightly overdriven tones out of the cure. Just when it starts to break up. Then hit it with the eq bypass or a decent boost. Paired up with the cleans in the M12 makes for some killer dual amp tones! Anybody else ever compare these 2 amps? They really compliment each other. Sitting next to the M12 makes you realize how compact the cure really is!

Lol....I walked into the local L&M today and there was a Cure there.....you didn't return yours did you?
This is only the second time I've seen a Z 'on the floor' at the local shop in the almost 9 years I've been buying Zs
I didn't try it as I wasn't considering buying it but cool to see one on the floor.

Yes that was mine. I picked up the Cure as an alternative to the M12. Its a fine amp that would fit in with anyone's setup. great cleans, great overdrive in a compact form factor. what's not to like! However, I got a deal on an Antidote. Actually I got it on a trade for some gear I was selling so being content with my M12, I decided to let the Cure go while I still could and the Antidote is a different beast than either the Cure or the M12. (I'm happy I still have 2 Z's!!) Should give the Cure a try at the shop, its an awesome amp

I may try it out one of these days. It doesn't matter though as I'll likely buy one after the introductory period if the available colours expands, etc.
