Thank you, I really appreciate these demos. Of course, us Tele players are hoping for a demo!

I am pretty sure these demos where created to give us an "idea" of how the amps sound next to each other. I cannot imagine that it would be possible to do every combination of guitars, amp settings and speakers that would satisfy all of us.
Thank you for doing these Frankie and Dr Z

These vids are ideal...............sure, we don't get the flash and pizzazz of the Dave Baker ones (and I love those!), but this head to head thing is fantastic!

Pete, thank you for excepting them for what they are. We are learning how to better capture the true sound of each amp with each recording we do in our small test room, with limited recording equipment. We are foremost trying to show the basic tonality difference between the models with the least post production altering, and not trying to wow you exceptional playing chops. They may be a bit rough for some delicate ears, but they are the truest reproduction we can offer, and we get better with each one done. We will keep them coming as I feel they are a great tool for the buying public that can't go to a local music store and try these models side by side. Z

That was an excellent comparison. You could clearly hear the differences between the two in several domains - especially mids and distortion. They are quite different until you step on the boost, and then they are quite similar. Fascinating.

Z I absolutely agree this is the right way to go, and having ordered a Cure without having had the time to compare it to the Maz 8, (though I did do a quick comparison with the Maz 18), the two videos we've seen so far have been particularly helpful, and reassuring too.

I think you are doing a great job Doc. These clips really show the sound of the amps.

I agree completely - these style vids are more authentic and relevant at the player/consumer level - which is in no a way a slight to Dave's chops...I'd hit listen if he was demoing a Cube 30 ;-).
I'm thinking a Cure added to my Maz18 is gonna round things up perfectly for me - would even make a cool stereo set-up paired up through a A/B/Y.
