I recently got a THD Bivalve for a steal of a price... Luckily I had stolen some vintage 6V6s and a 5881 from my dads collection before hand, because the only power tubes it came with were two Valve Art EL34s... Not a real fan. Recently acquired some 6550s and I absolutely love them, so I'm thinking maybe I didn't dig the EL34s because it just wasn't a quality tube.
Noticed on KCA that the Teslas are reasonable and since the BiValve is self-biasing, I don't need a matched pair. But, there's a local guy who happens to have exactly two Mullard EL34s for about double the cost of the Teslas... Since I'm not filling stadiums, I'm just curious if the Teslas have a good quality tone to them? I've heard mixed reviews on most of the new production tubes and would like to buy once and not regret it.
Thanks everyone!

I bought a quad of NOS Teslas from KCANOS a year or two ago and have been using them in a 1974 HiWatt DR-103 with great success. They're fairly stout tubes, though I did have a bias adjust added to the Hiwatt since it hits the tube with a pretty high plate voltage.
