On half power w/ EQ bypass engaged. Wish I had played this show a little better but man it was HOTHOTHOT up there.

Sounds very nice with the 335 . Never noticed before but do you use the flat end of a standard pick ? can see your not using the pointy end quite clearly on the strat footage. PS Tell Mouse to use that P90 Lester more.

Thanks Mark, I am getting comfy with the Z-Lux. Wish I could take full advantage of all 40 watts, especially on a big stage like that one, I was immediately accosted by the sound gargoyles at sound check before we even played a tune together, 'I don't have you in the mix at all.' Yeah well, WHY did 4 or five people tell me both my vocal AND guitar were buried in the mix? I am trying to be gracious and accomodate everybody, but it is a little difficult to take the high road sometimes, with Mouse is playing thru a supposedly 20 watt Egnater head and a single 12, but when he steps on the footfeet, it' becomes a bit of a pi$$in' contest Not even to MENTION the maelstrom created by the dual-earplug epuipped Mr Gage on the kit, we are ALL just trying to play to his level. And yeah greenblues, rounded corner of a medium pick most of the time, I am trying to get rid of the ol' plec altogether but it has been a challenge to just put it down!

HA I'm mellowing in my old age Jimmy;) Besides, the Boss tuner has a little bit of a buffer built in that makes thangs a little more 'noticeable'

Sounds great! Roughly where were your V/MV set, Buddy? There's another post with a shot of Buddy's Z-Lux at another gig. In addition to the V/MV settings, I make out T - 11, Mid - 2, B - 9:30, Rvb - 8:30. Added: eq knobs don't matter if eq is bypassed, which BW noted above.

Have to compliment you on your tone Buddy. Your playing is always awesome, and the Strat sounds good too, but even on video, coming through my crappy computer speakers, that 335/Z-Lux pairing is GREAT. You're probably going to help sell as many Z-Luxes as any ad the Dr. takes out.

BW- If that's an "off" day I'd glady give you ten of my "on" days. Nice tones and tight band. That first video about gave me vertigo w the trippy angle stuff but the tune was great. I like that you change your volume with your attack instead of tweaking the guitar every five seconds. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to hear more of the 335/Lux combination in your capable hands. Maybe with the trem and 'verb making appearances.

when I finally decide to hang up the guitars and stop playing live, I am going to do all the members of our church a favor and volunteer as a soundman! Not that I would be perfect, but I most certainly understand how vocals/drums/bass/guitars are SUPPOSED to sound.
I consider it a service to humanity and invite each of you to join me in this future endeavor!

Love the 335 sound you pulled out of the amp. Strat was fine and would have liked it a lot more but you took the 335 out and the rest is history. Reminds me of when at a blues fest they put Johnny Winter on before BB. As much as I like BB, Johnny rocked the house and BB came and played a great set but slowed the intensity down. I know BB should end the show out of respect but Johnny put on a heck of a show. It was just two different styles like the guitars were. Great playing BW and a great band. Get them to Athens Ga. someday. I don't think you will be disappointed. Especially During football season.
