.....I've been lusting ever since! Well, I went to my local shop today to kill some time. Had no intentions of buying a guitar as personally, I have NO funds for that right now. BUT, I found one that I just fell in love with (and the exact model I've been lusting after for decades!) and knew I would do anything I could to acquire it. I tried to work out a deal with the shop and finally the only deal we could agree on was that they would take my 2 EBMM Albert Lees in a straight up exchange. 2 for 1. Sadness ensued, but I was willing. So, I went home to chat with the the boss about the trade. I learned long ago to tell her about everything gear related - no secret purchases or trades! She asked me, "Do you want to get rid of those other 2 guitars?" I, f course, said, "No". Then she asked how much it was, I told her and she said, "I'm tired of you having guitar regret. Just go buy it." I was shocked. I mean really really shocked! But I also know when NOT to look a gift horse in the mouth, so I did as directed by my wife, and bought a guitar I've been longing for for years. . I'm going to name this one Kelly, after my wife. Sorry for the rotten pics, it's raining here today. Here she is: BTW, I suspect this thing has never been played. No scratches anywhere. No buckle rash of any kind. The trem bar is still sealed in original plastic. Case appears brand new. It LOOKS like a brand new guitar. It truly is in mint condition

Is that the music man Axis?
That is wild, I was just playing the Music Man Cutlass and was blown away at the quality and playability.
Gorgeous guitar!

I've heard it said that the truth hurts. This story would prove otherwise. Nice guitar.

Wow, I've always thought those were nice guitars. You got a keeper there--both the guitar and the wife!

Gorgeous guitar! It's actually the predecessor to the Axis - the EVH. I'll find out next week from MM the exact age, but it's from some time in the 90s.

Holy crap! They only made about two dozen of those gold ones. Probably 1993-ish. Nice score!!!

That's really nice! I've had a few of those (not that color) back in the day. I like the neck and sound of the old EBMM's vs the later Peavey's. Those are great guitars. Just needs a D-tuna

Great looking guitar! I sold a 90s MM EVH to help fund a Les Paul - think about it regularly! Some day.

Nice score! I always liked the original ones. Agreed! There's just something "right" about them. The EBMM Axis is nearly as good. Never did care for the peavey/fender stuff.
