I got my Therapy in an odd situation. I had been very content with my JAZ for that clean american tone. Perfect for what I want it for. But I had also been looking for a more tweedy american tone (for lack of better words). After MANY "tweed" style amps I convinced myself that tone just wasn't obtainable at the volume levels I like to play at daily. I do play loud, but not ear damaging loud. My next tone machine was going to be a super clean pedal platform amp. I was looking at 50-100 watt amps and strictly use pedals. I figured it would be cheaper to buy a new pedal every few months rather than an amp lol. So I put up an amp for sale here to fund my next super amp. Well, I got a trade offer for a two week old Therapy. I almost passed on it because I was so convinced I needed a pedal platform amp. I did the trade figuring I could sell it easier than the amp I was selling at the time. Well...that was about a year and a half ago and I haven't had an urge to buy another amp. It does everything I want it to. I've actually convinced myself over that time that I don't need any other amps beside the Therapy and the JAZ. Everything else has been sold off. It is odd that I got both those amps when I wasn't looking for them. I bought the JAZ out of panic when I heard they were being discontinued many years ago. The only two amps I still have after the revolving door that used to be my amp addiction were found when not looking. That's how I met my wife too? The Therapy is so good. I posted this pic here a few times before, old picture, but....

Yep........most of the best things in life side-swipe us when we're least expecting it! If the Therapy gets under you skin, it tends to put down roots and become part of your DNA - it's that sneaky!

It is a great amp. In all that time I haven't even tried different tubes or anything. It's just perfect. No gas.

Great story, I love the Wreck grille cloth with the green. Really looks sharp. Same here. For me an amp still has to look good to interest me and this tolex/cloth combo looks fabulous.
