Hi guys,
I was just wondering what type of guitars you prefer with your Rays? I finally had a little time to plug in tonight. I thought my Les Paul sounded pretty good with my Stingray. But when I plugged in my Strat, it sounded AMAZING. I've been using my Stingray almost exclusively with my D'Angelico lately. But man, oh man! I'm still smiling ear to ear after hearing the Strat and Stingray together.
I think I've come to a realiztion. I'll use the Route 66 with my Les Paul. And the Strats and Teles stick with the Stingray. What do you guys think?

I'm a Fender guy, so I'd have to say Fender Tele's (hence the user name)

Nothing sounds bad through a 'ray, but NOTHING sounds quite as good as a great Tele through the 'ray.

I agree, the Route 66 with a LP can't be beat and Strat's and Tele's sound amazing with the Ray.
But........
Once I put a WCR Crossroads in the Neck of my LP I find myself really enjoying playing it thru a clean amp again. No mud, just pure thick, articulate magic. Well worth the price of admission.

I use a Music Man Steve Morse model thru my Ray sans pedals and it sounds absolutely fabulous. Just goes to show...nothing sounds bad thru a Ray!
