Just wondering if anyone has tried using a Creamback speaker with their Therapy yet? Is so, what did you think of the tone?

Yep, use it with a 1X12 convertible Z cab and really love it. I also have a 2X12 Z cab with Vin 30 and a G12. Since I picked up the creamback it's all I use. It has really smooth highs, creamy lows with bell like mids. I like the lower decibels a lot. Easy to control.

Did you have the cab open or closed back?

For me, open back. Personally I like the sound to surround me and fill up space around me instead of being one directional. Also, I think it sounds a bit more three dimensional with it open. Not that it would ever sound boxy with the back closed, just more room ambience without it. My 1X12 is much lighter too. I dig that very much.

I did not like it. Actually, I got away from celestion speakers for the Therapy. I ended up with a WGS Vet30 and love it! I also use it with the cab open.

I run mine into an Avatar cab with the Creamback. Currently set up as closed-back. I wasn't crazy about it at first, but now that the speaker is nicely broken in, I like it a lot. Haven't tried open-back yet.

^^^^ Yeah, I forgot to mention that I wasn't crazy about It before it was broken in.

How many hours of play time do you think it took to be "Broken In"? I am using a Ceamback in a Z convertible, do you like the back open of closed?

I guess I need to give my Creamback some more time, it's only got 8 or 10 hours on it. Thing is that I converted my Z cab to 2x10 with Z10's and it will be really hard for me to go back, it sounds soooo fine with those speakers.
