Oh, it's a terrible sight!!! The Ghia and Monza's sad, sad face(plate)s; the old faithful Fenders from yesteryear with their sagging rectifiers cold as clams. All the nice dust covers now covered........well, with dust......
And the Z-Lux? Well, she's "locked" in on 40 watts, and all four of those 6V6's are prolly still hot from last night's jam session. I just have no desire to play any other amp. The Lux is such a great amp that I literally forget about it while I'm playing!!! With most of my other amps I'm always putzin' around with the controls during a gig or jam trying to get THAT sound. With the Z-Lux, it's just plug-n-play, and the tone is THERE! ALWAYS! Awesomely sweet or rugged tones, and everything in between yet not an ice pick nor a bass flub to be heard.
As I've commented before, I think this is THE BEST AMP made since 1967 (the year Blackfaces went south). Thinking about naming the Lux 'Ole '67! She's THAT good! Actually, I think I just did......

That Maddog speaks the real truth! I had the same feelings about my Therapy....till the Z-Lux arrived on site. I've only plugged into the Therapy a couple of times since and always quickly get to desiring more 'Lux! Very special indeed. I was actually shocked when I saw a well known regular around here opt for a new Maz Jr over this amp. Not knocking the Maz, but he obviously has not plugged into a Z-Lux..... Yeah, I'm talkin about YOU Frank!!! Great post Lee!!.... Great amp DRZ!!

Doc said the Z-Lux outsold the MAZ 18 NR in 2015.

Doc said the Z-Lux outsold the MAZ 18 NR in 2015. And what is more surprising I released the Z Lux in May of 2015. Sold 200 units in 7 months, close to one a day for seven months. I call that a successful release.

That is an impressive release. Congrats Doc. I'm enjoying my newly acquired Antidote, but now thinking a Z-Lux may be the focus of a trip to Chicago Music Exchange. Oh Oh!

And another happy Z-Luxer here. Couldn't agree more with you Lee, it's so plug-n-play that it's ridiculous. There's no bad sounds in it, only better ones. I just can't seem to get a bad sound out of it, and if anyone on this forum could make an amp sound bad, it would be yours truly! Not to mention the world class service...I'll never forget how Doc brought a brand new chassis to this year's Z-Fest to swap out with mine when it had a strange noise issue. Problem solved, and personally repaired by the good Dr. Z himself. Thanks again, Doc...you and your company are simply the best people I've ever dealt with.

Those of us who have been blessed to be able to purchase the Z-Lux know that all these statements are valid. Its a one of a kind amp that really outshines some of the better amps I have owned and played throughout the years. Not that those amps where bad in any way shape or form its just that the Z- lux is just better.

I'm starting to think Z is just now hitting his stride! Between the Therapy and The Z-Lux I'm not sure I will ever need anything else as long as I'm still able to pickup a guitar?
