Quick one....chime in please
I currently have a Maz Jr 2x10 combo with reverb.
have opportunity to buy Stang Ray w/ 2x12 Blues in it. Havent heard it before, but its a great deal.
Only 2hours on it.
Problem......I would have to sell my Jr. to get it.
Thoughts?
Like the AC30 chime and fender cleans. Play mostly 90's style, non metal music. Some rockabilly as well.....

How big are the venues that you're playing?
I've got a Jr. and a Ray, but if I had to choose 1 it would be the Jr. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Ray, but the Jr. is more versatile and is more suitable for any room. YMMV

I'd do it, I personally like the Ray better than the Maz Sr/Jr .... but that's just personal taste. It's a "bigger" sounding amp, but to get any grit you need an attenuator because the volume needs to be up around 4 and by then you're shaking the walls....... litteraly! A Ray with blues is a beautiful thing

Well, I wrote this on you're other thread so... I'm with craigmccle and feel that the Maz Jr is hard to beat for all around versatility... and I also own both amps in question. Both great amps for sure... Mangoman,
I LOVE the Stingray and it may be exactly what you're looking for...
But FWIW I have been using my Maz Jr more than any other amp including the Ray for a while now... The Maz is very versatile... a Maz JR with 2x12's can get real loud... with 2 C-Blues it can chime with the best of em, with the Z-best it can roar... with the 2x10's like in your combo it has tons of tight clean headroom... with a 12" Tone Tubby or Silverbell it is a TONE machine... and the reverb is very nice.
If I could only have one all purpose amp it might have to be the Maz JR... or Maz SR
Of course, there IS a good market for em, So
...you could get the Ray and then if you ever wanted to, get another Maz JR again later as the Doc still makes plenty of em. ;D
