So today I started experimenting with using my Airbrake with my new Ray (as yesterday when I had my Ray going, the people who live above me were stomping on the ceiling). It seemed to me that only 1 click was really usable. I bought the Ray to be a clean amp, but any more attenuation than that and it started getting decently dirty. Is this normal? Is there something I can do to bring the volume down and still keep it clean. My volume knob is only around 9:30. Thanks guys.

Try the low input for one thing.

Already there. Also, the bass becomes very mushy with the brake. Am I doing something wrong. All the cables are plugged into the right ohm ports.

I've never had any troubles, but I've never played my Stingray without the Airbrake, so maybe I don't know what I'm missing.

I never played my Ray without my Weber Mass Lite until a couple of weeks ago..... It's basically the same tone, but more of it (if that makes sense)? I REALLY wish I could play more without one, but it's just too dang loud when I put the volume where I want it. Without the Attenuator, it's like the difference in a Tubescreamer and a Keeley Mod Plus Tubescreamer. Still the same basic tone, but just ....... more of it. Lower lows, higher highs, fuller mids...... ect. But it still sounds sweet with an attenuator, but slightly better without.
