Hi Amigos-
Does anyone have any info concerning the "sound-on-sound" feature M. Fuller (very)briefly mentions in the instructions to the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo? I would LOVE to know more...
Thanks in advance, fellow Z lovers

If it is the same as the old original Echoplex it goes something like this: The tape records what you are playing as it passes a record head. Then it plays that back when it passes a playback head and that sound is re-recorded to the tape along with what you are now playing being added to it. The timing is adjusted by physically moving the playback head farther along the tape path away from the record head. If my memory is still good Joe Walsh used one to record Ashton Park on an early James Gang album.
I used to do something like this with a Revox reel-to-reel tape recorder.
There is a difference between "sound on sound" and "sound plus sound" but I don't remember what it was. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I would love to know the actual steps to operation-how the heck does one go about doing this? (assuming I have access to a TTE, of course...)
