Finally ordered me up one today~ Looking forward to it! You'll love it Mark! Most of my amps were made before reverb was accessible to the general public. So I've gotta have a good one on the pedal board. The Flint is so good I never used the onboard verbs (even on the Z-Lux). Absolutely nothing wrong with the Lux's verb at all, it's awesome! I just already "know" the Flint so well, I just never care to putz with any other knobs and dials when I can get the verb I'm used to with the press of only one button....

I've gone through a bunch of reverb and tremolo pedals over the years but the Flint has stayed on my board. Versatile high quality tones in one package plus you can change the order of the effects - (ex: reverb into tremolo like the older amp circuits) as well as all the other parameters you can change with secondary functions.

Slightly off topic but l like to run my vibrolux reverb with the reverb just noticeable (3 on dial as have a 12au7 in there) but then switch in my Wampler faux reverb also set just about noticeable. The resultant reverb is very rich and lush but still not swamped or surfy. Try it with the Z lux l think you will like it. l also do a similar thing with my Maz 18 NR which has Carl Martin Headroom in the loop again set just noticeable but when you add the Wampler it's very lush. The headroom also has a second channel which l have set reasonably high so that setting and the Wampler together is very drippy.

I think you know why I "need" one now....

Another thumbs up here for the Flint. Of all the pedals I've owned so far (and that's a quite a few!) it's one of 2 I would never get rid of (the other is an Aquapuss with a delay doubler installed). I LOVE the Flint! Unfortunately, it has me pining now for other Strymon pedals. After I had the Flint I decided try their delays. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get a DIG, a Deco & an el Capistan. damn Strymon.....

I LOVE the Flint! Unfortunately, it has me pining now for other Strymon pedals. After I had the Flint I decided try their delays. I've had their Brigadier Delay for several years and love it. It's designed like the analog delays I grew up using. I just scratch the surface of what it has to offer, but works for me. I like that the Flint is somewhat more simple than their other offerings.

I like that the Flint is somewhat more simple than their other offerings. Oh yeah! I'm all about their "simple" pedals. Even those with the secondary functions are more than complicated enough for me. I can't imagine trying to wrap my head around a Timelne or Mobius. That would just be headache city for me!
