I'm Dutch and wondering where I can buy myself (spare) powertubes, any suggestions? Are there any other Z-wreck owners aroun here who live in the Netherlands?

Welcome in, Christian!
I can't answer your tube question, but I do want to welcome you into this fine community!
Depending on how you acquires your Wreck, you might ask the shop or even the fine folks at Z Amps where you might look for tubes. There are also many fine purveyors of tubes here in the US that might ship internationally...
Good luck!

Don't know about tubes in the Netherlands, but welcome to the forum and congrats on the Z-Wreck! Have you checked places like www.eurotubes.com ? Maybe they ship there?

I didn''t mentioned that one of the tubes got bad after I bought the amp. The dealer of the amp (Haar Guitars) gave me a new Squad of TAD EL84-STR, rightaway. I must say, verry nice.
I did order the prefereer series 7189 tubes overseas at the TubeStore, I can let you guys now what I think about these 2 sets of tubes...

The 7189 TubeStore quad should be the variety that came with your amp, but due to variations in production- though matched- may sound slightly different. I have a quad of the TADs, and lots of other EL84s, but haven't been compelled to be even the least bit curious about how they sound in the Z-Wreck yet.
From experience in other amps, other people seem to love JJs, but I'm not a big fan. The Ei was my favorite sounding modern EL84, but they are a bit rare and don't last as long as the more rugged 7189s/EL84Ms. I've had a quad of Shuguang EL84s in my DC30 clone for several years and they still sound very good (great bang-for-buck.) EH tubes seem to crunch in a slightly grittier fashion (but haven't tried them in my Z-Wreck.) I haven't yet plugged in the Tung-Sol or Gold Lion New Sensor reissues. I'm not really sure that this is the amp I would want to try them in, anyway- and would probably only use the "comfort" setting if I did try them.

Hello, just wanten to let you know I bought the recomended remplacerend tubes from the TubeStore. Althhough I am verry happy with my Z-Wreck, I do miss some Bottom end and maybe some more hollow/woodyness which I felled in love with the first time I played the amp.
A well, I need to fidle with the tubes a bit (by swapping), I know it's in their. I'm just not into experimenting jet. Their has been so much written on "how good the amp is, and don't change a thing..." (Like Mr. Paisley always has his sound with his tube swapping coupe times a year... Not that I'm into that.... Hahaha
Ok, that was it for some useless inforamtion, sorry, hahaha

Welcome to the forum Christian and congrats on the Z-Wreck! What kind of cab/speakers are you using? That can make a BIG difference in the overall tone. For my needs, I use a closed back, Mesa 1-12 Thiele cab with an EV and I have PLENTY of bottom end.

Welcome Christian. My wife is 100% Dutch. Glad you got a wreck. Great amp. Do you have a band going over there?

Thanks LT for the advise! I've bought the combo with Celestion Gold, I love that speaker (experience from other amps, got stuck with the gold in my lo-Twin for years) and love small amps so should be ok with the combo... paul (TRANE), Dutch girls are the best! I do play in a few bands, one of them is a Fats Domino Tribute, the other is a Boogie and Blues band with mr. Boogie Woogie behind the piano, man he can play! really pleased to play with him! Enough on the talking, my wie just went out the house with the kids so I guess I'll start the Wreck up and fidle a bit...
