Does anyone know if "PL841" can be used as a direct replacement for EL84's? I understand PL841's have a filament voltage of 16v , but I don't know what is for "regular" EL84's. Also, PL841's are described as having G-2 @ pin#1, while EL-84' have G-2 @ Pin #9? ? Not sure how this applies or if they would work without having to mess with the amp? Thanks for any input

Filament voltage on a EL84 is 6.3v.
Pending further input, I would not try it.
