I've never been able to get over selling my 1x10 Mini. Afraid of the changed transformer. Is the Mini 1x10 still produced like it was?

Don't be afraid of the new transformer. I was able to hear new/old side by side. New tranny cleaned up some of the background noise and still sounded awesome.

I owned both at the same time for a while. The new transformer makes it sound like a bigger amp in general. Bigger, fuller, more bass, and a little less "grainy" overdrive. The original transformer is much brighter at low volumes, so if you play mostly below noon on the volume, you may find the new transformer too dark in those situations. At higher volumes the new transformer wins all day long.
I liked them both equally, actually...the original for low volume and the new tranny for noon and above, but I had to let one go. I solved the dilemma by selling the original and then having a bright switch added to the new tranny amp. Best of both worlds now!

I played my old 1 at 3/4 (or 3:00) and full on, and always with the attenuator maxed. Still LOUDER than a son of a gun!
