Just curious does anybody know the name of that color combo, the faceplate doesn't look like it is the normal white but a really dark tan and the tolex looks like a very dark red?

Sonic, I think it's just the lighting in the picture ( of course I could be wrong) but I think it's just the standard red and tan tolex, but I think it's just kinda dark looking cause of the picture.... maybe Chad or Zac could say for sure.... THANKS for the pics CHAD!! Keep em coming.... what the the Bossman don't know won't hurt you... We won' t tell... ;D Oh and BTW, Now I know why that old vox cab BP uses is so worn out looking... Chad's been sittin on it... lol Jason

not 3 backups, i use at least 2. if not 3 at a time. i usually have 2 of them powering the 2x12 cabs seen sitting on stage and channel switch between a vox ac30 or stingray with a delta 88 or kt45. brad always plays 4 amps live with 3 on all the time
the front of the amps are standard blonde panels, it just looks weird in the picture
i wish i had time to sit down!

Are Brad's Stingrays pre-production (no serial number) or part of the original 50 units?

I'll let Chad or Doc elaborate if they wish to, but BP's are non-production serial numbers, they are serial numbered specifically for brad...
I wondered about that myself and got it straight from the horses mouth, I don't know if others like Michael Burks Deltas are that way but I would think so... they were made for him too...
(not sure HOW he marks them but the 50 Stingrays are the PRODUCTION serial numbers)

Chad, just curious...where does the RX ES fit into Brad's rig now? Did he use the RX ES on Mud on the Tires? His tone sounds different on Time Well Wasted.

it doesn't, but that's today and it could be back tomorrow. his tone is going to change, because he's going to get bored with the same thing every album. the stuff that we're working on now sounds a bit different too

Brad is definitely an artist and an artist should grow and change and change gear to suit. I think mostly what he's done for the general Z enthusiast is show us what the amps can do, like BW has and Carl V.. I don't have any interest in trying to emulate anyone else's sound but these guys help me find the direction I want to go.

After playing the Stang Ray, I can see why Brad would want so many in his rig. I'm definitely not after the "I must sound like so & so..." bandwagon as I'm more interested in seeing what tones I can generate. However, I do feel that Brad's tone on Mud on the Tires is one of the greatest recorded tones I've ever heard so was therefore just curious.
