Absolutely hands down blows any other overdrive I've owned out if the water
My progression through overdrives was
Paisley Drive, Durham Mucho Boosto, Maxon OD 820, Wampler Tweed 57, TS808, Timmy, Mad Professor Simble.
For me, the Z drive is just a completely different beast from any of them, really close second being the simble. I just like the features on this z pedal better. My least favorite was the Timmy.
If u dry everything at 12 it sounds exactly like your amp
Bump the mids and instead if sounding like a TS, makes the JAZ sound like a MAZ

Compression is great too on this pedal. It is very open and amp like but with that nice sag reminiscent of power tube distortion

Dr Z has a great feel for the Mids....seems to be a signature of his tone is wise Mid shaping.
