Gents,
I'm looking to maybe get a 2x10 cabinet built (probably a JDesign thin line) for use with my Z amps and, besides the usual cast of Celestions, I'm looking at the WGS 10" speakers; the guy at WGS said he thought a good mix for what I do (jazz/Tower of Power/R&B) would be one ET10 and one G10C/S.
Does anybody have any experience with these?
Thanks.

Timely post! I'm interested in hearing feedback on wgs 10s myself. I like what I'm hearing on Vaughn Skow's videos.

I loved the G10C/S. With my Ghia, Monza....I have thought about replacing the Red Fang with it in my 1x10 combo. I loved it for indie rock stuff and Chicago blues stuff...

I installed a pair of these in a client's vintage Vibrolux Reverb and he is very happy with them. I thought they sounded kind of like Ramrods. Punchy but still pretty neutral.

I have a convertible back pine cab I bought unfinished on eBay. I put the middle back section on hinges with cabinet latches and small black knobs. A little tongue oil and some wheat grill cloth... Put a G10C and a G10c/s in it. Sounds pure fender. I wish you could drop by and try it out.
the other speaker, very much worth looking at is from Jupiter Condenser. I have an 8" in my champ... And that convinced me to buy a couple twelves... One for the deluxe reverb, and one for a 5E7 bandmaster that I built. They sound like an old school Jensen. Spec'd by Jupiter and built by WGS.

I've paired the G10C and ET10 in an open back pine cab......pushed by Maz18 NR. I like it quite a bit...the warmer tone of the ET plays nicely with the G10.

FWIW:
Update from OP (I didn't do the 2x10 cabinet):
I took the vin30s out of my 2x12 cabinet and replaced them with a WGS G12c/s and a WGS ET-65.
It gives me a much more balanced sound and works great with my KT45.

Right, John; needs and amps have changed for me since then, so I updated my OP for my decision to go with 2x12.
The reason I was contemplating a Jdesign 2x10 cab rather than a Z was strictly weight; J designs makes a "thin-line" cab with one-half inch wood that reduces the weight pretty substantially.
