OK, this is just noise in some places, but I was trying to demonstrate how versatile this amp really is. Almost all of the tone differences on this clip are from the volume control on the guitar, with the exception that I turned on a compressor for a bit of it to try to demonstrate what might happen with a bit higher input level (as from a humbucker guitar). You be the judge. Yeah, I know there's a drone note throughout about half of this, and it's just noise in other places, but listen to that amp! Wow! Setup: Grosh Retro Classic VT > Pedal Board > RXJr > 1x12 Convertible Cab (V30-closed back) RXJr controls: Bass: Dimed Middle: Dimed Treble: Noon Volume: Dimed OD: On Master: Noon All sound differences achieved with volume of guitar except where noted Time:... Tele Volume:0:00.....Noon 1:00.....2 o'clock 1:40.....3 o'clock 2:00.....Dimed 2:42.....Dimed + Compressor 3:05.....Dimed + Compressor + Wah 3:40.....Dimed + Compressor 3:46.....Noon Skankin.mp3

That sure doesn't sound like a 15-18 wt amp! That little beast has some great tones!

Thanks, yeah it does. Sounds great with a Strat too - just exactly like the RXES only not as loud.

Very nice as usual! It's a toss-up between the Jr's for my next Z amp- Maz or Rx. They both sound so sweet!

Very nice as usual. Was wondering what kind of cab, mike, mike placement and recording gear you use. I still can't get over the GT slide track, I find my self listening to it often. Just tone nirvana. Could you recommend a sub 150$ mike, I have a good soundcard that accepts XLR with phantom 48V. I don't know the first thing about mikes, I even had to look up how to spell it, mic mike... ;D

I used one Rode NT1 at the speaker, and a second about six feet away and turned 90 degrees off axis. Those are panned hard left and right. I bring those into a Presonus preamp and take its output via ADAT Light Pipe to my Digi 003 Rack unit which feeds Pro Tools. I'm not really up on what is the latest in mics, but I will say the Rode NT1 can be had fairly cheap these days since it appears they may have discontinued them. I see that the Rode NT1A is around $229 each. That's a pretty good deal since I paid $399 each for mine.
