Is there any problem with using a long speaker cable from an amp head to a speaker cab? I'm experimenting with a different set up. Isolating my cab off of the stage hooked to my Therapy head. I would rather run a long speaker cable than try using a long guitar cable and would like to keep my Z head next to me on stage. I'm just curious if it will harm my amp in any way using a long speaker cable?

Long speaker cable will have less signal loss than a long instrument cable.

Long speaker cable will have less signal loss than a long instrument cable. Thanks Todd! Will it cause any extra strain on my amp using a long speaker cable?

Long cable will add resistance. Generally going up in resistance is ok. Going too low in resistance is what causes amp damage.
What to watch out for is that the speaker cable can handle the amperage. Todd has all the right stuff at PCNS though. I got a really nice speaker cable from PCNS a while back.
