OK fellas:
I can't play country worth crap. But I *do* want to try for is that lead tone that twangs ten, so to speak.
I've been tweaking the setup on my Tele and I think I'm getting closer to a good country tone from this thing.
Here's the video of what I think is good tone and clutzy playing as I trip over myself trying to play some country.
What do you think of the sound of those Bardens? It's interesting to hear the difference in the sound of this Zion with its thinline build compared to a real solid body Tele. Also, the maple top compared to a regular body emphasizes the attack somewhat imo.
What do you all think of the tone? (please ignore playing:( ) I know it's hard to tell with a crappy little video.

Thanks for the demo. You're getting some great sounds and don't give up on yourself. Every player worth his salt needs to do some chick'n pick'n.
You also made me mad at myself because I passed up a Zion similar to yours the other day and I hear a lot of sounds I love on your clip. Jazz to country - its all there.

Sounds pretty good to me. Years ago a friend of mine had a tele w/Bardens in it...I never could get along with them myself but those sound good to me. Funny thought I had while watching...I get used to seeing everyones avatar on here and associate their username with that so I just had to laugh at myself when I realized you arent the guy whacking the cowbell in your avatar

Great Tele/Stang tone Hohn; enjoyed your clip immensely. It's funny how the tone you dialed in worked equally well for clean blues as it did for twanging country.
I love a good clean sound and you got it, along with great skills. Thanks for posting.

The cab is just a little Peavey 1x12 designed to match a Classic 30 combo. It's never sounded better than with the Blue in it!
