A while back I posted about getting the sister guitar to my old Flying V from my brother (we each bought them new in early '75- I sold mine ages ago , he kept his) When I got it , it had a DiMarzio Super Distortion he put in the bridge position (back in 1976) and he had removed the pickup cover from the neck 'bucker. Fortunately he kept the original cover & humbucker. I finally got around to reinstalling the original pickup and cover. I like the way it turned out. This baby can sing!! Weighs just a tad over 6 pounds:

VERY NICE Frank! I have never strapped on a Flying V, an SG, or a Firebird - I always wondered how the balance would feel. Andy Powell was one of my favorite guitarists back in the 70's and that was his main axe. Congrats to you.

That matching headstock really sets that guitar off! Love it!
I have a couple of Vees, an Orville and a Revernd Volcano. Surprising how light, yet balanced these are.

Love it Frank! That's a cool guitar and awesome story to boot. Something worth hanging on to for sure. Play it frequently and let it rock!
