Hi guys,, I love the maz. It has been a great amp and recently I thru my amp into a Mathers Studio Cab. Anyways.. Ive done some research and was hoping I could get a little more info from you.
Im a pedal guy,,, will I have plenty of clean headroom to funk in a band or just nice clean tones? How they compare to MazJr ?
Ive read where some have both... I will def not use both on a gig. Im wondering if Remedy is really necessary. After listening to clips,, It seems the Remedy is a little thicker in tone?
I mainly play blues, funk, and little rock in no certain order, However, I will prob be playing blues more when I move.
Any info would be great and thanks for your time.
Btw,, Im a single coil guy ( LsL Saticoy, Tele). I have a DGT I will prob use a little bit but mainly single coil stuff.

What are you looking for - more power? If so, take a look at Buddy Whittington videos - he plays a Maz 38 for his blues. If it's a different sound then maybe the Remedy is what you are looking for. The Remedy is voiced like a Marshall Plexi sound. It works for British type blues very well or early rock. Listen to both and make up your mind which you really need Here's a video of Buddy that i believe he is using a Maz 38.

Great!! Thanks for info... I was actually learning some stuff from Buddy the other night (his version of Big Legged Woman) Nice tone. Honestly,,, I prob don't need a Remedy, but sure would be fun, from what I hear.

I've had two Remedies and will probably have a third. Two stand out for me - the Antidote and my original Prescription RX. the Antidote is just so versatile with the blending tone and the Vintage/Modern switch. It is Doc's take on a JTM 45 and he nailed,it. Think Clapton in the Bluesbreakers to get the sound it is capable of playing. The RX is just such a great Marshally tone - very unique sounding Z.
