I've had my Ghia now for one week. It arrived one week early for my birthday. (Happy Birthday to Me!) I'm not sure that I need the volume knob. I think I only need the tone knob. A couple of things strike me about this amp. First, I'm just leaving the volume knob on 10. I can play clean, semi-dirty, or crunchy. Second, I can swap from my Strat to my P90 Les Paul and not worry about readjusting the tone control. Cool. Third, it's one quiet amp even when I dial down my guitar. Fourth, folks are right, it is a blast to play. So, putting it all together, here's a quick little jam. The Ghia's volume is on 10 throughout. It starts with a clean Les Paul on rhythm, then a semi-clean Les, a cranked Les, and then it goes through the Strat. It's all dialed in from the guitar's volume. www.MikeZBand.com/music/Ghia_Mess_Around.mp3

Awesome stuff. Real tube amp tone-age there.... straight in, no effects, and lots of different sounds...
I particularly like the ending... quick, to the point and concise!
Thanks
