So, i've not seen this film but i saw a preview this past weekend and i've decided I'll likely never watch it. There is no Hendrix music or guitar playing in the entire film and his ex-girlfriend, Kathy Etchingham has threatened to sue for how incorrectly they've portrayed hers and Jimi's relationship. Even Roger Mayer has said they got it wrong.
Curious who here has seen it.... also who else is going to pass just on principle.

Totally ignorant of the whole thing here..... Maybe ignorance really does = bliss....
After what you've alluded to here, Ian, I have no desire to explore the matter any further...

I can't see the point of skipping it (said respectfully of course). The only way to have an opinion is to watch it, isn't it? I'm not sure I'll pay to watch it in cinema, but I'll definitely watch it on TV to make my own statement.

I'll wait until it gets to Netflix or cable.
I did enjoy the documentary "Hear My Train A'Comin' on Netflix. That has lots of Jimi and people who knew him.

It looks like a movie about a guy that no one knew or met, yet try to depict his life. I'll pass...
Seriously buy the stuff produced from his families company since it took so long before they saw a dime of the Hendrix empire. IMHO

I don't know...the previews look pretty good.
And I've already seen every Jimi doc already. So that's not what I'd be looking for anyway.
So I guess I'm hoping it's just a good movie.
