This is a clip of the ghia with more 'hair' on it. Mostly single note lines so not terribly hairy but at these settings, chords and heavily played notes are quite dirty. But still very dynamic, light playing keeps the dirt at bay. Vol: 11, Tone 12:30 Robert Cray custom shop strat with Fralin blues specials, straight into 2x10 ghia. SM57 through a studio projects pre, into a cheap EMU soundcard. No eq, just a little post dynamics and reverb. www.jasontonline.com/sounds/ghia-strat1.mp3The tone outshines the playing, but you get the idea. There is no subsitute for the ghia.

Very nice! Towards the end when you switch the Cray "in between", is about as good a strat tone as I've heard. Hard to beat those Fralins.

Great tone and tasty, expressive playing.!
I really love hearing a recorded track like yours where you can actually hear the detail of the fingers making the 'pluck'.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice "noodling." Sweet tones and licks. I used to have a Ghia.. might have to go that way again.

Heh, no that wasnt me singing (I only wish), that was a Line6 Guitarport backing track. Thanks again for the kind words, but I must say, the ghia gets all the credit! Jason

I see you repsonded to the "more hair" request. So who has been your inspiration and source of chops?
