It seems like other amp threads have settings threads, but I've not really found a good one for the Remedy. I'm also curious to see how others are setting their amps, and it gives everyone ideas and different things to try.
My setup is mostly for rock/hard rock.
20/40 Mode: 40 Watts Master Volume: 11:00-11:30 (rehearsal volume) Bass: 9:00 Treble: 9:30 Mids: 12:30 Loudness I (High): 1:00-1:30 Loudness II (Normal): 9:00

I run it on 40 watts any chance I get.
Normally, here's what I do with single coils:
1) start out with mid and treble at noon 2) bass around 9:00 3) bring the high volume up to where I want it 4) then bring the normal volume up until I hear it kick in.
I will adjust the mids and treble from there, but I run the amp with mostly the high volume, so most of the time, I don't bring the treble up past noon. -------------------------
For humbuckers, here's what I do...trying to emulate an old 4 input Marshall classic rock sound:
Turn the high volume up to where I want it (usually around 2-3:00)....leave the normal volume OFF! But because this can be rather bright...don't turn the treble past noon. (even less if needed) Perhaps a little bump of the mids past noon if needed. Bass anywhere from 9 to noon.
And you've GOT to do this with a closed back cabinet with GREENBACKS (or clones). If you want more modern rock, substitute V30's for the greenbacks. (and don't ever THINK of using G12H30 speakers with this amp.)
THIS IS THE SOUND OF ROCK AND ROLL!

I'm finding I like all knobs at Noon (master volume mod), and either the half or full power setting depending on the volume I need. Other than that, all I need is my tuner and EQ bypass footswitch!
Keep it simple ;-)

Interesting. I currently use 2 1x12s, both with Creambacks, one open (middle panel) and one closed. I run it on 40 watts any chance I get. I go with bass at 10 o'clock, treble 11, mids at 2. I play a Lest Paul Standard with Lollar Imperials and mainly stay on the bridge pickup.
Master at noon or higher. High and normal volumes at 11 to 2 depending on inside or outside venue. Usually use an EP Booster, AC Comp, or Zendrive if more od is needed. Also use a Hermida Reverb or Cmatmods Deelay at very low settings.

These are the how the setting ended at the last gig. Average sized local bar. Got it dialed in after the first set. I usually use the Z-28 but it's got some volume issues right now. I usually only use the Remedy for outside gigs. I use a Creamback in a Dr Z combo cab and a PRS Mira. Anyone else wanting more bass out of a Remedy? I am going to get a new set of tubes since I bought it used.
20/40 Mode: 20 Watts Master Volume: 1:00 Bass: 5:00 (Max) Treble: 12:00 Mids: 1:00 Loudness I (High): 12:00 Loudness II (Normal): 1:00

There really isn't a huge volume difference but quite a bit more low end thump. I use a Creamback in an open back with a Les Paul and find myself dialing back the bass to around 11:00. Also, the master volume isn't real linear and I've found that if my MV is below about 2 o'clock the thickness diminishes. Your results might be different though.

I find the same thing regarding the thickness comment with the master below 2pm and with the indiv volumes below 1pm.

I bought my Remedy used a few years ago and although I liked the tone, I didnt love it. So last week I was watching a random amp demo on youtube and the reviewer was working his way through recommended eq settings. One of them was kind of odd but when he played the amp, it sounded great. The reviewer amazed! Do I tried this with my Remedy and suddenly, my amp woke up! Couldn’t believe it. Here are the settings. This is the non MV version. Bass: off Mid: all the way up Treble: off Volume 1: just about all the way up (4 oclock) Volume: 2: 12:00

One of the things about the Z amps is you have to set it by ear - not by sight. Glad you learned that before giving up on the amp!

I twiddle the knobs a lot. I find a sound I like and play. This can be problematic for the settings on my pedals... LOTS of great sounds to be had. ME

I’ve messed around with my Remedy settings for years but this one is by far the best. Thick with crazy punch and crunch. Running through an Avatar Forte Vertical 2x12 with a Tone Tubby 40/40 on top and a Celestion Gold on the bottom.
Master: 3 oclock Bass: off Mid: maxed Treble: maxed High Volume: Maxed Normal Volume: 2-3 oclock

I played these settings with a les Paul today for about 2 hours. I couldn't put the guitar down, and took a picture for reference because I had so much fun. That was in a 4x12 with greens and creams. I thought it was holy grail territory. That one for sale is killing me.
