Saw Interstellar in IMAX last Saturday. I really enjoyed it a lot. It's nice to see some movies being made that reward at least a basic knowledge of science and physics by the audience. I know there are scientists who disagree about the accuracy of the movie's physics but, really...it's all theoretical physics anyway isn't it...until someone actually goes into a black hole and reports back? I did take issue with the music volume which sometimes overwhelmed the dialog...although I think that was probably intentional on the part of the sound editors. If you're going to see it I do recommend the IMAX version. I haven't seen it on a standard screen but this is the kind of movie made to be seen on a grand scale.

The only caveat I'll give concerning seeing the film WITHOUT giving away any spoilers is that the ending is kind of...out there. It's not as "straight forward" as the rest of the film...to me 90% of the film "could happen" in the future given the current lines of thought in relativistic physics. The ending kinda strays into another area Also when the film was over NOBODY moved or said a word for almost a minute. It wasn't like a Marvel movie where people were waiting for the inevitable mid-credits scene. It was more like everyone was trying to take in what they just experienced. I don't think I've been at a film that elicited quite the reaction I witnessed. Kind of like "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" it's more about human nature and character than science fiction.

The wife and I saw it in the standard version Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, no IMAX in our town. It is an outstanding movie. It's a long one, to boot--just shy of 3 hrs, so you definitely get your money's worth. There's a place or two in it where I got a little teary-eyed. I'm such a puddin'.

I loved the movie. I would have liked it even more as a trilogy. There was so much in the movie I would have liked to see expanded on. I'm a sucker for those kinds of sci-fis.

Saw the movie. Definitely worth seeing, especially in Imax. I liked the human aspect to the story and that the CG didn't become the focal point.
