Waaaay back when, I had a Boss octave pedal. I have been listening to a lot of Soulive lately, and that has me wanting an octave effect again. What are the cool ones the kids are using these days, or is the Boss still a good choice?
thanks! Eddie

The brown Boss one is still my fave. OC-1, I think?

You might want to try out the Boss Multi-Overtone Eddie.

That's a sweet pedal, Lee. I think that might more than satisfy my desire for a baritone guitar and would certainly be much more functional.

I like my EHX Octave Multiplexer but it's only an octave down. If you want perfect tracking then get a POG from EHX, but if you like the glitches that can happen with an all analog one like the old Boss OC-2 or the Octave Multiplexer. I think the cool kids like the Foxrox Octron.

I like the Earthquaker devices bit commander. It's a monophonic octave pedal that has two sub octaves you can dial in amounts of in addition to controls for base, filter and the octave above. It tracks well for single notes and gets that killer splat when you go below fifth fret. The higher octave can get that hendrix octavia thing going well. Anyhow, it's fun but doesn't stay on the board all the time.

That looks like a great pedal and I love that the boost feature works independently of the effect. Geez, I need more pedals like I need more . . . . nope, can't think of anything I need less than more pedals.

Mooer Pure Octave - Lots of octave choices along with blend knobs for the lower, upper and dry signals. It's a cheaper pedal but sounds pretty decent when I've used mine.
