I just moved the Gold from my 1x12 cab to a recently acquired DRRI. I temporarily put the DRRI's stock Emi Fender "Special Design" speaker in the 1x12 cab but it is just an OK speaker. Actually, it doesn't sound too bad with the EZG but the Z-28 doesn't like it at all.
There are two used speakers available locally at a decent price that I have never tried before and I was wondering if anyone had experience with either, or both, of them in a 1x12 application. The cab in question is used with an EZG and a Z-28, mostly played clean. Not interested in having much speaker breakup. Also looking for something in the American voiced camp but different from my 2x12 cab loaded with a 12A150 and 12F150. Thanks in advance for any opinions.
PS: I did do some searching on the net as well as the speaker section of the forum but couldn't find anything on a direct comparison of these specific speakers.

I have experience with the RW&B, and I find it to be a great "all-around American-sounding" speaker. It's not terriby far off the mark from a 12F150, although I don't think many American-sounding speakers are; unless, that is, you go for a JBL (Weber California is in that direction, but not identical) or a hemp-coned speaker.

Hi Ridgeback, what are the two used speakers in question?
