What are you using to record? I am thinking about getting Pro tools.

I use Cakewalk's Guitar Tracks Pro 3. Cheap, and a good intro into digital recording. Of course, get Pro Tools and you'll have what you need for a while...

Hey thanks arun, I appreciate that! I used a Boss BR-1200CD digital recorder and an SM-57, close mic'd.

Nice one Madison...worthy of a Kahuna to be Love the sound of the Stingray. Mmmm?? I was about to go into a stereo schpiel with the 66 but I'm not going to go there. Need to play some stadiums before I start thinking that way! Sure would be nice though!

Nice job! I have not heard the clean side of the Stingray until your clip. It almost had that Humbucker sound at times. I thought you were playing a Les Paul until I went back and read it was a Tele. Very nice!

Very nice! I am jealous of your tone. Hey, where are you guys getting your backing tracks from? I would love to find some and take a crack at recording along with 'em.

Good sound, very tasty playing. I was surprised, it wasn't what I expected. Overdriven, more power tube sustain. I love the dynamics, too, where you roll it off a bit in the middle of the tune.
How loud were you playing? It sounds quiet because of the groovy backing track, but the amp is responding like it was pretty cranked.

Maybe the firstborn? Something's gotta give here!

zdogma, dock66 & benttop...Thanks for the kind words!
Despite the "jazzy" feel on this clip, the Stingray is REALLY at home doing the country thing. With a little compression it nails the "BP" sound pretty good.
zdogma, I was recording with the amp volume at 9:00, and the compressor level at noon...or equal to about 10:00 if plugged straight into the amp. AND I had the Zendrive on, gain dialed back fairly low...just enough for a little bluesy breakup since the 'ray is so clean.
