I have tried a few delays, MXR Carbon Copy, Boss DD3, Electro Harmonix etc, and at £39.00 (Sterling) the JoYo was just as good if not better than most. IMO

That Joyo looks good value. I used a Boss DD3 for many years which was fine, but I decided I wanted a really good, more analog sounding delay and ended up with the handwired Deep Blue Delay. That was an expensive pedal, and it's a nice unit, but really I would have been just as happy with my old DD3.

Just so you know Mickey- I have five pedals all powered by a Volto on my PT Nano and carry a one spot in case the portable power goes out. Sorry for the sloppy power cabling. I haven't tidied it up but may when I run the Creation Audio Labs Mark 4.23 in place of the EP later this week. Here's a shot of the board:

Do you use the case with the power supply like that? How does it fit? So first, here's the pedalboard: ...and here's a close-up of the FT Jr. sitting in the channel: Amazing... it's like it's custom-made to fit there. I have velcro on the bottom & side of it, just to make sure it ain't goin' anywhere. And in the last picture here, you'll see it in its case--overall it's no taller than the highest knobs on my trem. pedal, and fits just fine in the case. I'm very happy with how this pedalboard has worked out.

That's very neat, Mark, I like that.
Christopher, carrying a 1-spot as a backup is a great idea, very helpful!
I haven't ordered my pedalboard yet, even after all the help you guys have given me. Still one or two things to consider, but I'm getting there!

One more question, how do you find the durability of the soft case that comes with the Mini? I'd prefer a hard case but they don't make one. I could get one made but it's more expense.

I've had four different pedaltrains and all of the soft cases have held up really well through gigging and my heavy handed load in/outs. The hard case is a nice protection if you're going to put it in a trailer w the PA and other gear. I usually travel alone to shows so the soft case gets the job done.

I did have one of the larger Pedaltrains with a hard case. The case was fine, but I chose to downsize the board. In addition, with the soft case on the mini I can, if I want, keep the board in the case and still have adequate access to the in/out jacks and the switches. Comes in handy at some gigs.

Thanks guys, I travel alone to gigs too so I guess it shouldn't be an issue. I'm just aware that the board will hold a grand's worth (in GBP!) of pedals which have up to now been stored separately in a hard case. I'm pretty careful though, so I think they'll be OK.

^^^ You probably can score a used one on eBay or reverb.com. Another possibility is one of those rechargeable battery packs. There was some conversation about them a while back. I think Bill (heynewguy) and Eric (roscoenyc) had tried them. Pedaltrain's Volto is an example. I use the Volto underneath a Pedaltrain Nano. I power a dedicated buffer, spark boost, TS9, Boss chorus, Boss delay all night with no problems.

I think that there's more of an issue with the soft cases with the bigger boards.
I've taken my PT Pro out a few times, so freaking heavy with the board loaded down, I can see that blowing apart with regular use.
With the Mini, it shouldn't be a problem.

I've always had hard cases for my boards, and I had the same concern about the soft case, but I've had zero issues with it. I also travel to the gigs in my own vehicle.

Well I haven't bought a Mini yet, as I keep thinking that a slightly bigger board might be less of a squeeze, though I've always held the view that fewer pedals is better...doh!

You could buy 2 Mimi's. That's what I might do. Well I'm thinking a PT Jr might be better, and I'd be able to mount the pedals further apart, but there again I'm used to having all my pedals in a line, especially as I'm also the main singer and have a mic stand in front of me as well. I guess the Mini is probably the answer. I have been considering this though

I think for a singer you've made a better choice because I found the bigger square boards hard to set near the mic because of their width and so they were off to the right of the mic which didn't always coordinate with my ability to sing and stomp. I hope you love it.

I've been setting my stuff up at home, trying different arrangements of pedals, but my tried and trusted method of having them all in a row is best, so the Mini should be fine.

OK it's done; pics as promised! Actually I was an idiot; all I had to do to mount the power supply underneath was to drill two holes in the Pedaltrain using the template provided. I got it wrong. Twice.... Doh! You don't really see the extra holes though, and it all seems to work OK. One thing I've noticed though is an audible click when I switch the pedals. I'm sure I didn't notice it before, but it may have been there already, typically with the true bypass pedals. The KTR doesn't click, but that's in buffer mode. I'll have to look into that one. The Cioks power supply fits neatly underneath, it seems a nice unit.

Very nice. Where did you get the ADAM? I want to do this to my Mini as well. I'm in the UK, and for me the best price was here: www.thomann.de/gb/cioks_adam_link.htm?sid=6e0745df28963a037707915e96ef2fd9It was supplied with a European mains cable, but a quick search of eBay got me a cable with a UK plug on the end, and very cheap too. The Adam seems like a really nice unit, and it is made to fit underneath a Mini or a Nano.
