Posting this here for it will be directly related to the Therapy.
In the past, just about every chance I had at acquiring a speaker cab it came loaded with some form of Celestion speaker. I have experience with the V30, Gold, GT-12-75 and 12H30.I have read many praises for the greenbacks and may want to give them a try. However, in order to save a couple of dollars I chacked the WGS speakers and they seem to have a replacement for the greenbacks named the Green Beret. I have read good reviews here as well as outside the forum. The speaker is rated at 25 Watts and the Therapy is rated at 35 Watts, so do I need to run 2 of them (or any other combination) that meets or exceeds 35 Watts?
By the way, I have been running the Therapy with my 1x12 gold or my Z best 2x12 (v30/12h30) but last night I switch the gold and the V30 and I think the Therapy really likes that V30 by itself. The 2x12 is now a gold/12h30 and it isn't too bad either. Just want to try a Grenback and the green Beret seems affordable.
Comments, opinions?

The good folks from WGS came by and brought a ton of speakers for me to try, ( its good to be King )..... And I must say I liked the Green Beret better then an original Greenback. I haven't tried it with the Therapy yet, but let me know what you think when you get it.

Z That's awesome Doc! It would be really helpful to get your opinions on the specific speakers themselves. We know you like the Green Beret, haha!

It should be ok unless you really crank it for a period of time.

The speaker is rated at 25 Watts and the Therapy is rated at 35 Watts, so do I need to run 2 of them (or any other combination) that meets or exceeds 35 Watts? FYI, anytime you use two speakers with different power handling capabilities, you can use amps up to twice the power of the lesser speaker. Example: one 25 watt greenie and a 30 watt G12H30 in a 2 x 12 configuration can handle a 50 watt amp.....

so ok to use one 25w on a 35 watt amp? That's sorta "iffy". In a low volume bedroom or small venue I'd say it won't be a problem. But, if you intend to run the Therapy loud the majority of the time then you increase your chances of blowing the speaker. Good thing is the WGS is relatively inexpensive so if you were to blow it you won't be out too much money. You might look into going with the Invader. Based on the GB except it's rated for 50 watts. so ok to use one 25w on a 35 watt amp? so long as you don't run it above 3 o'clcock on the MV with the V about the same, for an extended period! The 25W rating is an RMS rating (average rating if you like) so the speaker can take sudden spikes about that without harm. Even gigging in my band, my MV hasn't been above noon, so I could get away with a Green Beret, although i'd be getting some real speaker "involvement" in my sound at those levels, I would imagine.

Two Green Berets I think he means, wired in series to give 50W overall...... Lol...no, the Invader is basically WGS' 'high power' version of the Greenback (or even a higher power version of their Green Beret) (i.e, Celestion Creamback vibe) and is 50 watts. I'm actually looking at buying for a of these now for a 412 cab I have. There's too many speaker types ! Keith

I had no such luck. The only 15% off I could get came with a $349 minimum and was only good over the phone. Sent from my Galaxy S4 using Proboards

Yes, he said this was an over the phone offer only. In addition, after all said and done he did try to sell me more stuff to take advantage of the discount including trying to sell me another speaker...told him I only have a 1x12 cab I lied then went on to try to sell pedals, cables and then strings....I only had enough for 1 speaker. Maybe he looked at my account and thought he could "sell" me more items to compliment my previous purchases. Don't know. This happened fast. i was done with the call probbaly 3 minutes
