I just traded my RxJR for an EZG. This is a big step for me but I think I will enjoy the tone of the EZG. That being said, I'd like to ask you fellow EZG players on what your favorite settings are along with favorite speakers, cab and other things that pair up well with the EZG.
keep in mind that I come from EL84's, open back cabs and alnico speakers...not very much experience with anything outside of those things.

I like it with an open back 2x12 more than the 4x10. I set my pre around 11-1:00, post to noon, bass at about 9-10:00, mids at 1-2:00 and treble at noon. When I used the reverb I set the dwell around 10:00 and mix around 10-12:00.

I tend to use the pre and post at close to equal settings (between 10 and 1 depending on volume and the tone knobs around noon unless I'm really cutting the mids to get that blackface vibe. I have not used the amp's reverb much as I have a Z-verb in the chain at home and know those settings better. I don't take the Z-verb when I play out so that's the time I use the EZG's reverb to taste. My favorite cab with both the EZG and Z-28 is a pine open back 2x12 with 30 watt Weber 12F150 and 12A150s. It also sounds nice with the 1x12 Gold open back cab.

I don't use an attenuator with it anymore so I keep the pre and post between 9 and 12 bass at 9 mid at noon and treble at 1. Reverb to tast and usually use a 1x12 gold

your post made me take mine back out and take her for a little run. I was contemplating on selling mine but after just playing it, I realize, I love this amp. I thought I didn't much care for the tone but I hooked it up to a 2x12 cabinet with a weber silver and blue and the thing just kills. I keep my pre volume at about 7-8 o clock and the post at about 1 o clock and it screams. killer cleans and sounds great with OD. for the best cleans, keep your pre volume down and raise your post, if you want grit, reverse it, more pre and less post.

Great to know the way those two knobs work. I love DR Z's for the simple lay out and at first the knobs on the EZG turned me off but I'm getting it now. Awesome amp.

I am glad you had a change of mind experience. I remember when you were searching for one and then I saw your post the other day and now this post. EZG is one of my favorites for sure along with the Z 28 and I hope I feel the same way about the Therapy
