I should also mention that neck pickup, the tef longneck, is one of the best I've heard. Very usable pickup. Not muddy at all. It's clear with a good fat tele neck tone and sounds good clean or overdriven.

For me the simplest way to describe them is that they have more vintage snap than the Fralin Blues Special which I also really love. I have Fralin Blues Specials in my older Tele (my baby)...and we A/B'd them with the Voodoo T59' (bridge) and APC neck PU...and it was not as close as one would think. The Voodoo and APC had so much more fat tone and spank...and as Roscoenyc says" more vintage snap"! APC PU's are awesome neck PU's! The Best neck PU I have heard...and with 4 way switching....IT ROCKS. Crook is building my next with the Voodoo Nocaster in the bridge with the same APC in the neck...Love those voodoo's....and combined with the APC"s = awesome!

The voodoo nocasters have really started to grow on me. Yes, the vintage snap is there, but I like them because they are bright like a tele is supposed to be but without any ice pick or brittleness. They are clear yet full. They are great clean but can take overdrive really well also.
