Just added an M12 10-inch combo to my collection with a Brake Lite. Just wondering where those with similar gear are mounting the BL? Btw got it Friday and played a 4-hour gig with it Saturday. Very nice (and easy on the back). Would attach a picture of it but can't figure out how.

To post a pic here it must be "hosted" on a third-part site like Photobucket. Once it's there you can simply use their copy function and paste it into the text box here. As for my BL, I recommend you mount it on a piece of wood so you can move it to other amps. You can use velcro as well if you don't want to mount to wood. BTW - Welcome to the forum! Lot of good people and information here!

Thanks for the Velcro idea. I hadn't thought of that!

I screwed mine in on the left inside I can reach over and click when required. Here's one in a 1x10.

I have several that are mounted like Paul's (bluzman); these were factory or dealer installed. I mounted one in a Z Wreck combo on the bottom of the cabinet using double-sided outdoor mounting tape (from 3M). That's working fine too.
The BL is visible in the Wreck by looking down through the amp's top vent. This makes it easy to see the current setting and reach behind to switch it. I'm not sure I'd mount it in the same position otherwise. You're probably going to want it to be both reachable (duh!) and visible, especially for live use.

If you mount yourself... use their short screws if they still come with them. I also put a thin teflon washer on each screw to ensure over-torquing wouldn't break the tolex.

I mounted mine on an old Line 6 Pod stand. It is angled and slips right underneath the amp handle so it's easy to adjust (or turn off) when needed.

I always just tucked the flange under the handle on top. When I bought my used Galaxie, one had been mounted in the bottom butted up against the back panel...easy to see that way. Some mount them on the (in)side. I think whatever works best for you is the ticket.
