Not been seeing much Antidote threadage lately. What cha been doing with it lately? Playin it out? Wakin the neighbors? Pissin off the lifepartner? Sold it? Blew it up?
Me? I've really been enjoying my purchase of the head and cab....cab loaded with a creamback. Horse traded for a stand alone BL.....run it on 2 clicks usually.......but move it back and forth for varying degrees of ear ringing. JUST got done rockin out in my stadium living rooom with it. this amp has made me fall back in love with my gibby 347. I haven't played in a band in years, and I still really enjoy this amp.
Dr Z amps aren't right for everyone, but seriously, this company has numerous models that I'd like to either revisit......or own.....cant think of any other amp company that gives me that warm fuzzy feelin
ok, I"ve had some beers....enough gushing

Still loving mine-
One wish: it would work better for me if the footswitch changed it between vintage and modern rather than eq bypass.

yeah, foot switchable between vintage/modern would have been nice, but atleast its a metal toggle switch between the two, instead of some wonky plastic push botton.......I'd guess the single operartion EQ bypass is accomplished by just making or breaking a connection in the tonestack, where as the vintage/modern would be a lil more complicated, adding a gainstage?...then we'd want lights to let up know which one were on. I mainly play on the modern side, and rolling voulums or hitting one switch, pretty much like it, as it is

I had the chance to play both a Remedy and an Antidote a few weeks ago and while I really liked both the Antidote edged out the Remedy. The only thing that is keeping me from popping on the Antidote is the master vol and 1/2 power switch on the Remedy. Any of you that have an Antidote find that it's just too loud to get any usable tone out of at home. I don't play in a band right now and while I don't have a prob with volume at home (at least as long as my GF isn't home) I don't want to shake pics off the wall or torment my cat and dog too badly. How much of a difference does an airbreak make and which to get, the airbreak or airbreak light.

Nevermind all. I read some other threads on the forum and think I have a pretty good idea of what to expect...

I played an Antidote for the first time last Sunday at Brayks' place. Absolutely amazing. Those big bottles pack some huge tone!

Nevermind all. I read some other threads on the forum and think I have a pretty good idea of what to expect... Oh no you didn't:)...... I had the same concerns you have. I dont really have any volumn restictions where I live, but still wanted to know if I could get a nice lower volumn tone. I have a creamback in my cab, which knocks down the Db's noticably, and also use a BL. Usually on 2 clicks. Still probably too loud for some, but just right for me.

I just placed the order from Humbucker. Should be here Tuesday! I have butterflies in my stomach! I'm excited but a little nervous too. Was a lot of money...

Antidote = good times. Can be loud, but that's what rock is all about. The Antidote is a great rock amp! Must go play now!

Yeah, they do cut into the bank account a lil' bit, but its still a great sounding, quality amplifier, and spending alot more wouldn't be dificult on some other brands aswell. Hope you enjoy it. rock it like a huricane:)

Finally have a outdoor gig this weekend and I am really looking forward to giving it a push. I am starting to use the modern channel more, it really helps cut through.

I'm loving the huge bottom I get from the Dote... It's loud as hell, yes, but it just sounds so good all over the dial to me. Takes pedals better than any amp I've had as well.
