Looking for help with a problem with an M12 1 x 12. Played through it for two hours this morning and it sounded chimey and majestic, turned it off came back and switched it on but nothing. Changed the fuse and still nothing. No LED light and no power.
How does somebody as useless as me troubleshoot the issue? Does the tray come of the back of the chassis behind the tubes? They all look fine but I suppose a rogue could be the culprit. Rectifier maybe? But why would that happen in home use? Clueless...........
Grateful for any ideas, the amp is 18 months old but only had about 12 hours of play in that time. MAZ 18 gets most of the work. Thanks in advance........feeling pretty frustrated.

Most likely the rectifier. Doesn't matter if you gig or play at home , new production rectifiers are time bombs.

Make sure there is power from your outlet. Try your Maz in same outlet. If it works try switching cords - if it still doesn't work take a look at Doc's trouble shooting guide: drzamps.com/trouble_shooting.htmlIf that doesn't work take it to a tech or send it back to Z for tune-up. Don't play with the rest of the insides of the amp - it can literally kill you!

Petez
Apologies for the delay yes I did sort it out, took it to a tech who changed the fuse and checked everything out - bit embarrassing but he advised me to put a more powerful fuse in - still under 1 amp but the fuse in mine was .500 I think. Technical I aint as you can see.........

Pretty sure my M12 says "1 Amp slow-blow" type fuse right near the holder on the back. Check yours, too--it may say the same thing, in which case your tech is right you could use a more powerful fuse. Good news is that they don't cost much at all; it just sucks when they blow and you have to figure out what happened.
Also, bookmark or check out Jaguarguy(Mike)'s recommended link above--the Doc outlines a good process to follow in order to figure out why an amp's not working.
