Hey Doc. Pat bought the verb from me and it had been working great. You may or may not remember but when I bought it, it was creating very little verb effect. You told me to contact don in repairs to try a new verb tank. I recieved the new tank and installed it and everything was great. I used the Zverb for recording and then decided to part with it because I don't use it in my live rig. I'm wondering if something could've got damaged during shipping??

After checking to make sure it's not RCA cables check springs and connectors to make sure that one of them did not break in shipping - it happened to my JAZ 20/40. I replaced tank $25 shipped) and it works fine.

My tech looked it over and the 6v6 tube was bad. We replaced it. Cables are hooked up and were getting very little reverb when the knobs are dimed. With those settings, it really seems to squash the tone and it's not a pleasant tone.
He gave it a good look over and couldn't see anything that it could be.
I will be getting ahold of you doc in a couple days to send it in for a check up.

FYI I do not recommend stacking the Z Verb on the Z Wreck head.
Sometimes it works just fine ( very slight hum), other times it will screw with the reverb tank and cause a big hum.
I got the matching Quantum Z-Verb last month and like Doc says, there is only a slight hum (thankfully) when placed atop the Z-Wreck head. However, in my case the hum is minimal so I keep it there because, well, it looks so darn cool .
rossco: the variable e.q bypass is great because while bypassed it you get the raw sound of the amp without the e.q and everything else attenuating the signal which sounds great and a because its variable on the foot switch you can dial in to taste, 1/2 way I like

rossco: you don't have to fully bypass the tone stack which is great because gives you room to dial in your sound, it certainly thickens up the sound and adds nice growl/midrange growl. I don't like pedals so this replaces everything for me

easyed: It seems that the only time I clean off my workbench is when I need the space for something else. If I don't take a break, it's less than 5 minutes before that space is full again.
