Anyone compared the two? How do they compare? Contemplating the possibility of selling my Maz 18 for a Z Wreck? Someone want to talk me into it or out of it?

I have both and neither are going anywhere. However, I have sold a Z to fund another Z....or three...both ways. There is a little overlap in the tones of the two amps. When I got my first Z Wreck I thought it reminded me of a giant Maz Jr NR...But nothing gets the magical touch sensitivity of the Z Wreck!

And I love the tone, it would be nice to have more touch response which seems to he the best character of the z wreck. I am not too worried about volume as I have a good attenuator if needed and a sound isolation box. I play some jazzy stuff, but it's mostly an alternative rock style we in the Christian community have called contemporary ( whatever that means).

Well, this probably won't help, and I hope it doesn't offend, but I'd say the MAZ Jr is heavenly and the Z Wreck is magical. Good magic, of course.

Man, if you have the coin, the Wreck would probably make you very happy.... It IS indeed very touch responsive....

Well I've gigged exclusively with a Maz Jr for about 5 years. I have to say that little amp is great for dialing in a great workable tone for any type of live situation. It never let me down.
I acquired a Z Wreck head a few months ago and all I can say is it's like multiplying the Maz Jr X 10!
The Z Wreck works well with all different types of guitars and handles pedals very well.
