The other day I received a few back up quads of EL84's and decided to give them a test run to be sure they worked properly. The easiest way to change tubes in this amp is to pull the chassis. Not saying you couldn't change them without, just hard to " feel in "a non keyed tube. So I popped out the chassis and was a bit taken back by the thought that must have went into this design. Top brace glued in.... big plus. I'm the sort of guy that builds lots of different things with my hands. The first thing I thought was, "well that wasn't the easiest way to do it". I enjoy products that don't build by the easiest quickest means. That brace also looks like it might help in directing sound up through the vent, and air to cool the tubes, as well as making it very sturdy. I don't know anything about what makes a relatively small amp sound so huge. But I'm glad someone does

I thought all the same things when I took my chassis out to install my Brake Lite.
Another thing I liked is how easy it is to take the chassis out and the great fit. Machine screws & Tee Nuts.
Thanks for the photo Nicholas.

The dog bone above the speaker is another nice detail.
