i like it. i dislike the spaceship stuff (seems cheesy and a bit condescending) but understand that it's a reference to the ship in the original and it's meant to draw in younger viewers.

Really enjoying it. My two boys are enthralled, but then again they're science geeks already.

I tried....TRIED to watch some of the original Sagan 'Cosmos' on Netflix. But I found it unwatchable. Seemed cheezy and slow and boring.
I have watched a few minutes of the new Degrass-Tyson version. I bet there's a lot of people across the country reaching for the bong.

In the last episode they showed Degrass-Tyson on the surface of Mars. Wha? !!?? How is that even possible? I'm inclined to believe that the entire series is a sham!

If you like Cosmos or Neil deGrasse Tyson and have access to netflix instant, check out "The Inexplicable Universe" - a series of (6) 40 minute lectures by Tyson.

Those are cool! I loaded up our "list" with a bunch of science-y shows for my kids, who are either going to grow up to fly to Mars, or rule the world, evil overlord-style. Hoping for the Mars thing...
