Thinking this might be a sweet setup here, but it would be nice to hear someone else is getting great results.

I hope you have better luck than I, Steve. I gave up on this over a year ago. I couldn't get my acoustics to sound good thru my electric guitar amps (including the M12), but I really needed the acoustics at gigs. Bought an acoustic amp or two, and didn't care for them either. Finally just decided that you cannot beat your basic PA (and a good DI) for amplified acoustic guitar.... Sorry.....
I hope others will give you more promising advice....

Well I've tried it before as well, and got essentially the same thing as you. But the M12 is just slightly different than the other amps I've tried, so was just wondering.

Steve, my M12 1x10 combo with a C gold sounded very good with my nylon stringed guitars; my Godin Multiac much better than my Yamaha 180 SA. Then I tried several "acoustic " amps…end of story. I couldn't afford a Schertler so I bought an UltraSound 30 watt. Perfect for my needs. I don't have a steel stringed acoustic with electronics so I can't really comment on them.

I agree about going direct to the PA. I've actually had some success getting passable tones from clean amps at low volumes with some creative EQing, but it always falls apart when playing live at any real volume.
