Thanks Mark. I was afraid you would say stuff like that . I just joined your little club..... could......not......resist......temptation...... Is the brake light needed for home use? I could take it out of my JAZ. Never use it in that amp anyways. It depends on what you want from the amp. I like it because I can turn it off and have the beautiful, loud cleans, or add a couple of clicks and have that awesome grind at more home friendly db's~ What did you get? A head or the new combo? I'm really really diggin' this combo!

^ the combo. I'm a combo guy. You're in for a real treat! I'm a combo/open back guy too and this thing is more lively than any amp I've ever played. Has the same shimmer and overtones of the original set, but more of an open feel. Like I said before, that vent on the top adds another dimension to the sound escaping this sonic box! When is the arrival?? I could not wait to get home from work to crank it up today. Just got through with about an hour of quality time together. I think the Blue Machine is calling be again~.....bye!

Couldn't resist, deposit paid and goods ordered. Let the 12 week wait begin! Can't imagine there are many of these in NZ, anyone here know of any other Z-Wreck users in New Zealand?

I received your order today, from the NZ dealer. I'll build you a nice one. If the wall voltage is a bit high that is over 240V use the Comfort setting as the Z Wreck has a dual secondary voltage output and Comfort will work very nicely.

Thanks Dr, that is awesome. Also, thanks for the tip regarding the voltage, I will let you know how she performs. Can't wait to get it. Have a great week.
Cheers, Pete.

Congrats Mark. You try it with humbuckers yet? How is the headroom? Oh yeah! The Z Wreck has the most beautiful clean sound I've ever heard in my life....then it morphs into a wonderful crunch and on to sweet singing lead tone all with the twist of the volume on your guitar. As far as headroom, naturally single coils have more than humbuckers. That said, I wouldn't call the Z Wreck a high headroom amp. It's more of a anything amp. Plug-n-Play, like the Doc says. I installed the Brake Lite I ordered with the amp last night. It turned the amp into an even more versatile instrument. While I had the amp out of the cab, I was truly amazed at the design and construction of the cabinet. Lots of R & D when into it. Also light as a feather with the BIG Z Wreck Iron out of it. I really like this configuration better than the original head & cab set for my needs right now. The head and cab seem to have a tighter, more focused sound, where the combo resonates much more and has a looser, more open tone. Sound comes from everywhere! Love it! Is it wrong that I want to print this photo and hang it on my wall??!! It is just that purty...

Good move, Nick. Moving the BL from the JAZ is a good idea. The Wreck is loud even with V set fairly low, and you want to be able to crank V to get some of the tones the amp can produce. Even at low volume settings, there's tremendous sustain that can be evoked with a gentle touch. Jason Hobbs has a good one. Think he's a member here? Jason was pretty active here for a while. Haven't seen anything new from him recently, though. Think Canadian took his place...lol im not a Newfie but I'll do my best to fill in. Haha

Just send me a royalty check for $.89 every time you look at it. lol A monthly payment will be fine.

Hi, The combo looks great! How wide is the front valance on that amp? Thanks Thanks! I love this little amp. Seems the valance is 21 1/4" wide... The construction of this thin walled, resonant cab is amazing.

The construction of this thin walled, resonant cab is amazing. Hi Mark, You're correct and I meant to ask how "tall" the valance is on that amp? It looks to be about 5" tall, but that's a guess looking at the pic. I'm going to have an extension cab built and was getting ideas. That's great the cab is resonant and sounding great. Thanks, JD...

very nice...the light factor is a big tipping point in my book. Beautiful…does anybody know the actual weight of the combo? From the Dr Z website: "1x12 Combo: 22 1/2"W x 10 1/2"D x 20"H, 47 lbs." Not a feather weight, but very manageable. The same weight as a 1-12 Maz Jr or Sr combo......BUT...it's a Z Wreck!
